AITA BB90 road ceramic bottom bracket is introduced by Trek for its 37mm ID frame shell and run 24mm spindle cranks, such as Shimano's. The BB90 road ceramic bottom bracket comes with a pair of 6805 AITA hybrid ceramic bearings. This BB90 hybrid ceramic bearings are built up with Grade 3 Si3N4 ceramic balls and ABEC7 hardened steel races.

With the Grade 3 Si3N4 ceramic balls (8 times rounder and 4 times smoother than the steel's), spinning on the hardened ABEC 7 races, AITA's ceramic bearings run much smoother than most of the bearings in the market and will save 80% of the power compared with the steel bearings, plus the bearings will last 3-5 times longer.
